Terms & conditions
General website and enquiry terms for Ascent Transfers.
About these terms
These terms cover use of the Ascent Transfers website and the general arrangements for our private hire and transfer services. Company number: 16555146. Contact us at New World Business Centre, Station Road, Bristol, BS30 8XG, contact@ascenttransfers.co.uk or +447777153438. Read these terms together with the quotation and booking confirmation for your journey.
Enquiries and booking confirmation
An enquiry or quote request does not reserve a vehicle or create a confirmed booking. A booking is accepted only when confirmed by Ascent Transfers or through our authorised booking service. Check the date, time, pickup address, destination, terminal, passenger count, vehicle category and contact details on the confirmation, and tell us promptly about any error.
The person booking must be able to enter into the booking agreement and must have permission to share the contact and journey details of other passengers. Please provide a phone number that can be reached during collection.
Fares and payment
Your quotation or booking confirmation will set out the fare, currency, payment method and when payment is due. Any applicable taxes, parking charges, tolls, airport charges, additional stops or extras must be explained before you agree to them. Card logos on the website identify payment brands only; the available methods are those confirmed for your booking. Please do not send card details by email or through our enquiry forms.
If you request a change to the agreed itinerary or vehicle requirements, we will explain any resulting price change before you accept it. Website examples and vehicle images are not a separate offer of a fixed fare.
Airport pickups and waiting
Flight monitoring is included with airport bookings. Provide the correct flight number and tell us about changes or delays you become aware of. Airport pickups include 45 minutes of free waiting after the flight lands. Standard bookings include 15 minutes of free waiting at the agreed pickup time.
Optional meet and greet is £20. A child seat or booster seat may be requested for £5, subject to confirmation of availability and suitability. The meeting point, any additional waiting rate and arrangements if you cannot locate your driver will be confirmed before travel. Contact us as soon as possible if baggage collection, immigration or another issue delays your arrival at the pickup point.
Vehicles, passengers and luggage
Vehicle descriptions identify categories. Where a model is described as “or equivalent”, a suitable equivalent may be supplied. Illustrative photographs do not guarantee a particular vehicle, colour or registration. Passenger limits must not be exceeded. Luggage allowances are a guide to capacity; tell us about oversized items, pushchairs, sports equipment and mobility aids before booking so we can confirm a suitable arrangement.
Please discuss accessibility requirements, assistance dogs and child seating needs before travel so that appropriate arrangements can be confirmed. Passengers must use seat belts and any required child restraints. We will not require a passenger to waive statutory accessibility or equality rights.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Contact us as early as possible to change or cancel a journey. Availability, any cancellation deadline, any reasonable cancellation charge and applicable refund arrangements will be explained before you confirm your booking and recorded with your booking terms. We do not apply a website-wide non-refundable rule or an undisclosed cancellation fee.
If we cannot provide a confirmed service, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss a suitable alternative or refund as appropriate. Any proposed alternative must be agreed with you. Nothing in these terms removes a refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.
Travel times and disruption
Plan sufficient time for check-in, security, traffic and other foreseeable delays. Suggested routes and journey times are estimates. We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the service and communicate material changes when we become aware of them. If an event outside our reasonable control affects a journey, we will discuss practical options with you. Your legal rights remain unaffected.
Passenger conduct and belongings
Treat the driver, other passengers and vehicle respectfully. Smoking, unlawful activity and conduct that creates a safety risk are not permitted. A driver may decline or stop a journey where continuing would be unlawful or unsafe. Any charge for damage or exceptional cleaning must be reasonable, supported by the circumstances and communicated to you; there is no automatic penalty specified by these website terms.
Keep valuables with you and check the vehicle before leaving. If an item is left behind, contact us with the journey details so we can help locate it and discuss return arrangements. This does not exclude responsibility where the law makes us responsible.
Business travel and driver applications
Business accounts, invoicing and credit facilities require separate agreement. Submitting a driver expression of interest does not create employment, a contractor agreement, guaranteed work or a right to use the Ascent Transfers name. Any working relationship and required checks must be agreed separately.
Website use and third-party services
Use this website lawfully and do not interfere with its operation or security. Website content and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. External booking, mapping and payment services may have additional terms, which should be made available before you use them. We may update website content, but a later website change does not retrospectively replace the terms of a confirmed booking.
Responsibility and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not exclude the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including rights relating to reasonable care and skill. We remain responsible to the extent required by applicable law.
Questions, complaints and applicable law
Please contact contact@ascenttransfers.co.uk with your booking reference, travel date and a description of your concern. We will review the circumstances and respond using the contact details you provide. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law.
